Snow blankets area

January 22, 2010 Globe Community 2 Comments

Snow Globe The rains began on Monday night and have steadily saturated every inch of ground and flooded  creek beds from here to the Arizona border . Here in the Globe-Miami area, temperatures began dropping Thursday night and residents awoke to a thick blanket of snow today.  Snow has continued to fall all day and Bill Taylor and his radio station Gila 101.9 has been broadcasting road closures,  downed power lines, and a rash of businesses and government offices who  closed early to give employees a chance to get home before flooding or road conditions got any worse today.
