The previous writers comment reflects more emotion than common sense. There is a lot of frustration and anger about our country's current state of affairs. But, to say that the legal system is responsible is to overlook the responsibility of each one of us to be 'watchful' of our democracy. What were we thinking when no down payment mortgages were being given to people with no income? Isn't that an affront to common sense? Or when the cost of running for public office skyrocketed over the last 20 years? How can we expect public officials to represent 'our' interests if they must have special interest money to be elected?
Laws are collective agreements intended to avoid/resolve disputes. We just need to insist on fairer laws, not none.

Of course they would be willing to settle for over $2 million. They are and always have been the "Untouchables" mainly because of their highly symbolic union; the legal system married to the education system. Yes, these systems remain in power and can do so with the help of each other. One writes the laws and the other molds impressionable minds around those multitude of laws that cripple the whole of society. In the lyrics of Corporate Avenger, it is aptly summed up the treatment of the public "by strong-armed robbery the collectors of taxes funnel the majority of funds to police and intuitions counter productive to spiritual advancement."

Even if they both were removed from their respective positions (highly unlikely) the system would still continue with the brainwashing of the public. Collectively we are all displaying the tell-tale signs of being in an abusive relationship. Voicing our opinions that something is grievously wrong in our country/county can now be considered TREASON. You can't fight city hall they say. Defeatist attitudes abound in an abusive situation.

If we think that any settlement over this $9000 Vacation is going to change things around in our local area, we are sadly mistaken. Considering that Prosecutors, Judges, government agencies, and police have immunities written and set into precedence already, we must first begin to see how this unregulated monopoly, a.k.a. the legal system, is the real crux of our dysfunctional local and world scene.

In the meantime, we are all guilty of PARTICEPS CRIMINUS, the legal doctrine that we are participating in these crimes too by our written contracts with the legal system and our tacit agreement for this system.

It's been said by Edmond Burke that "The only thing required for evil to persist is for good men to do nothing.' What makes anybody good if they do nothing???? TIME FOR ACTION GLOBE!!!
