Besh Ba Gowah hosts one magical night of light during their Noches Las Luminarias. Over 1500 luminaries light up the ancient ruins much to the delight of visitors, photographers and children!

The evening includes performance by the Apache Crown Dancers, Robert Wilson- Flute Player, and more, plus there is caroling, cookies, coffee, tea and hot cider throughout the night.

The event begins at dusk and runs till 10pm.  Admission is FREE.   December 20, Sunday.

The night sky in Downtown Globe is now lit with the new Globe Theater Marque which was rescued from the 2005 fire and re fabricated to accommodate the needs of the greatly expanded Hollis Cinemas 4. The marquee was hung just before Thanksgiving this year and the final touches on the crown finished this week.1269

1028Prior to this, it was used as the backdrop for portraits of those attending this years gala event “Aaaallll Aboard for the Arts,”creating a memorable keepsake for years to come.  Afterall, how often do you get your pictures taken in front of a 1950s neon marquee?

The lights of downtown Globe have the added glow of the Holidays and the weather has turned cold. Great opportunity to stroll the sidewalks and enjoy a very walk-able downtown district and see everyone’s store fronts.  Saturday:  The Light Parade in downtown Globe, attracted thousands to watch the show!

As the sun faded, the songs of Christmas could be heard on BroadStreet and the crowds gathered for the annual Electric Light Parade
